DIY Crafts And Activities:
Listen to your favorite music because there's so many thing you can do with it. Drumming along to the beat can teach children about rhythm and tempo. Singing the lyrics out load can let children flex their memory retrieval. Speaking of lyrics, you can see if children understand what the words mean in there favorite songs. You can also expand there vocabulary by introducing them to new one's.
Play 'guess that tune' by humming a song you both now. You can also try whistling it.
Paint or draw what you hear.
Strike up a band with some pots and pans. In fact just let children explore what kind of sound a object makes by letting them hit things with a stick, chopstick, or wooden spoon. Of course set some guidelines before hand.
